Digital transformation

RES are investing in new technology to help improve our services for our customers. These investments are in the software, platforms and hardware available to engineers and office staff. Changes in the way we work and the efficiencies that can be made are at the forefront of our efforts. Below are two examples of this work in progress.

Engineer iPADS

All engineers are being provided with Apple iPADs in a phased rollout.
The iPADS enable engineers to issue digital certificates, update site and asset information as well as scheduling and email. Over time, we hope to see a massive reduction in the use of paper throughout the business.

Customer Portals

We’ve started to provide customers with a portal where we upload digital documents such as DB tests, Certificates, Walk Llists, Fire Risk Assessments and Zone Charts.
Over the next few months we plan to optimise these efforts into a single automated platform for our customers.
